i was experiencing what i thought were some pregnancy symptoms…. when i went to the doc they said that my blood pressure was stroke level. i figured it was high because i was tense about the doc appointment
i get waves a nausea, light headed, dizziness, and sometimes i have to blink a few times to get my vision to not be blurry. it is more when im standing than sitting, and can last anywhere form 10 seconds to a minute. it can occur anywhere from every 30 minutes, or just a few times a day. symptoms started few weeks ago.
should i be concerned that i am having blood pressure problems? could this be caused by something else actually going on? i am just a getting a little scared and worried, and help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Did the doc give you medicine for HBP? If not and he said you were at stroke level you need to see another doctor. If your BP is that high you need to be on medication also your symptoms sound like you may have a problem with sugar. Have you had your sugar tested lately? If not, it would be a good idea to get it tested. Normally there are no symptoms of HBP, that’s why they call it the silent killer. I had severe headaches though and when they took my BP it was 120/160 and the doctor put me on medication that day. Yes, you should be concerned since your doctor does not seem to be but also get your blood sugar checked.

Has your doctor checked you for Pheochromocytoma? It can cause those symptoms, and cause very high sporadic blood pressure spikes.
