What are some lifestyle changes that can reduce high blood pressure?

Numerous things:
-Lose weight if you are overweight
-If you smoke, stop smoking (it is good to stop for overall health)
-Reduce alcohol intake. If you want a drink sometimes, perhaps opt for red wine, it has some health benefits (in moderation of course).
-Reducing sodium intake. You still can have salt, just don’t put it on everything you eat.
-If you drink a lot of caffeine, cut back a little (for instance if you love Coffee, take it “half-caff”).
-Exercise! Cardio exercise is especially good.
-Eat a healthy diet. This doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy an occasional steak, it just means opt for lean meats like chicken and fish (grilled, baked, or other non-fried method) most of the time. Eat veggies and fruits.

You should cut down on your sodium intake for one.Losing weight if you’re overweight and exercise can help too.

Supplement magnesium. Almost everyone is low of magnesium. Magnesium is a natural calcium channel blocker, a very popular class of BP medication. Also control your insulin levels by cutting carbs. Avoid trans fats but not saturated fat. Sodium has no effect on 85% of the population. Eating a low carb diet is good for everyone but especially if you are over weight. Weight loss is the number one way to lower your BP.
