More questions on Renin-Angiotensin System pls.?

A healthy kidney can't be expected to go wrong as moderator of blood pressure. But then why in essential hypertension a kidney fails to detect high BP, reduce renin production until such time blood normalizes?
I was diagnose with essential hypertension. The weird part is all my vital organs are healthy.

Renin – angiotensin system is not the only mechanism for control of blood pressure.
