my father is 51 now. he had an attack last year september. it was a majort attack of 97% blockage.he underwent balloon therapy and was fine physically but, he s constatntly having high blood pressure(BP). sometimes 80/130 and sometimes 100/150.. but he doent felt pain in heart or neither sweating. wat could be the reason for this. doctors r just just giving drugs to control temporarily. my question here is, whether high BP results only in heart attacks or is it a common problem for a man at this age, he s undergoing good diet but he s having more reponsibility in office bcoz he a director of a concern.
so please tell me wat shall we do in this case, and why this is happening ?
100/150 can trigger MI or stroke with CAD history. With 97% blockage and the balloon treatment alone, should ask cardiologist to do something better or stent procedure asap!
50% people have MI without chest pain.
Recommend "Program to reverse heart disease" by Dr Dean O’Nish and Pauling therapy, and always keep BP < 80/130.

No, rather high BP is a risk factor for heart attack. Diabetics developing acute myocardial infarction do not manifest the typical compressing chest pain accompanied by sweating but may present as epigastric pain with difficulty of breathing and easy fatiguability, sometimes, difficulty of breathing when lying down in supine position.

High blood pressure increases the risk of heart attacks, but it is not a symptom for heart attacks. Since your father has already undergone the baloon therapy, obviously he is being monitored by the doctors regularly. Apart from the medicines, healthy life style, with good healthy diet, lots of sleep, mild excercises/yoga, meditation etc should bring down the blood pressure, there by reducing the risk of another attack. You should also take counselling from professionals for reducing work related stress.

The main symptoms of an impending heart attack are pain or pressure in the chest area, shortness of breath and pain in the extremities, often the left arm.
High blood pressure contributes to arterial and heart disease which can lead to a heart attack. Change his diet, in consultation with his doctors. High blood pressure is highly influenced by the amount of salt in your diet. Cutback on salt to as little as possible. Also, eating foods high in potassium help to lower blood pressure. By the way, you might have meant that his blood pressure is 130/80 and sometimes 150/100.
