I have high blood pressure caused by birth control so what are my options?

I used to be on NuvaRing for birth control but my doctor took me off it because it was making my blood pressure go really high. Well now I have my blood pressure down and I am looking for something that wont effet it again. I thought about a IUD but my doctor says no because it causes tissure damange and I havent had kids yet. I cant take pills, and condoms are not enough for me. Any ideas?

have you heard of the ‘sponge’? you insert it before sex, and it contains a spermicide which kills sperm on contact.

you can look into the old methods women have used for centuries, since before the pill was invented. first of all, check out "cycle beads". a ring of beads, color-coded to help you know which days you are most fertile. by avoiding sex on those days, or using a condom, you can avoid pregnancy. (this works only if you have a regular cycle.)

i’ve heard of other methods, such as using lemon juice as a spermicide, which has some scientific basis, but has not been proven reliable. there are also herbs women have used to prevent pregnancy. do some googling, but remember that modern science has the best guarantee of prevention!
