My partner has high blood pressure . He has a moniter, Is there any foods that cause high blood pressure ?
Primary hypertension does not have a cause; however, there are ways to reduce and control it. SO by aswering you question right off the bat for the foods causing high blood pressure:
First is by reducing salt intake. A lot of patients tell me that they don’t use salt. But the prepared foods that the eat has a high sodium content. Soups, frozen dinners, frozen pizzas, various sauces, and so on, all have significant amount of food. Any of the fast food places have a high significant sodium count. Chicago’s Grill formaly known as Uno’s their Chicago Classic pizza carries approximately 3 grams of salt. Big Mac, Whopper et al
Moderate amount of fruits and veggies, not drentched in butter, but such as salads will help. Garlic is a good way to help.
Second: Exercise! This is one of the best ways to reduce BP. There is enough studies out there that will support this. Basically people do not nor can not just go and start running vigorously. But starting out by parking the car away from the from of the Walmart and walk in is a start. Walking around the Mall once before you start shopping is a good starts. Then Working our way up to jogging, running.
Lifting weights will also help two times a week.
Third: Stop the smoking! This is a major issue. Smoking not only raises the blood pressure and put eveyon at risk for coronary events, cancers, and strokes.
Fourth: Alcohol. Cutting back on drinking is a good way of preventing High blood pressure. Yes there has been many studies as well talking about the significant amount of alcohol will cause changes in the shape and function of the heart. and thus causing high blood pressure.
Hope this helps.

Yes, salty ones. Difficult to cut out entirely.
Caffeine worsens it.
See a doctor NOW. I wish him speedy recovery.
