i am 27 years old, just a little overweight and have have a kidney removed. recently i have been getting, tired, confused, nervous, narrowed vision, a foggy feeling and feeling like i could pass out.
i have been ran through the ringer at the doctor and they can't find anything wrong with me other than my blood pressure being high. 178/108 at one point.
has anyone else felt these symptoms from high blood pressure?
Other symptoms include, light-headedness, dizziness, and severe headaches. Start taking an aspirin a day, and lose the extra belly fat…that helps IMMENSELY.

If you "think" you have a blood pressure issue, then get a reliable monitor and take it a few times a day over a period of a couple weeks and see "if" it is truly high.
In your question, 178/108 is very serious and would / should have medical attention ASAP if it continues.
Generally HBP is symptom free…….as far as noticing any thing.

An increase in protein in your diet may help you. Make sure you are drinking plenty and eating more protein than you have in the past. I also recommend that you purchase a home blood pressure monitor. Take your BP at different times during the day and record those readings as well as what you were doing. Also, note on that log what you are eating and when you have a high protein snack. It will be good to see if the slight addition to your diet helps stabilize things. Also note when you have those symptoms. Before or after meals? Make sure your are drinking lots of water, too. Keep that log and ask your doctor for another appointment. Bring the log with you when you go in. Your symptoms sound very familiar. Sometimes simply increasing protein will oddly do the trick. At any rate, stay on the doctors; your BP needs to be brought down. That kidney is all you have and high BP is not its friend. Are you taking any meds for the BP?
