Does Fish protein reduce High Blood pressure?

My friend gave me a nutrilite product consisting of Bonito protein. Bonito protein is a source of fish protein. according to her high blood pressure can be reduced by taking fish protein capsules.
Has anyone used this product?? please let me know if i can use it for High BP treament or shud i consult a doctor??

If you suffer from High BP, definetly consult your doctor before taking anything.
Its actually not the protien that helps with the high blood pressure, it is the omega3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in the fish. Protein is an added bonus from eating fish though too, so gobble up as much as you want. Try flaxseed oil instead of fish oil if you want to avoid the fishy aftertaste, flaxseed is also a large source of omega3's. Reducing BP is just one of many, many health benefits from fish and omega3's. But always do concrete research into any supplements before you put them into your body, never just take the advice of us here on the forums, do your homework.
