Can having a hysterectomy cause high blood pressure?

I’m 41 & had a total hysterectomy May 18, 2009. I’m now fighting high blood pressure. I’m wondering if it is hormonal or if it is totally genetic. High blood pressure does run in my family, but mine seems to have come on quickly, almost overnight.
Any info. would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

it could be hormonal the doc may need to draw blood and check your levels and you don’t mention your weight. Remember high blood pressure is not a disease it is a symptom..good luck.
