I heard that this is done. and if so I think that people should have blood drawn prior to the test and look for ANY chemicals in their system. What do you think? so much can depend on these tests.
Blood pressure meds. are not going to alter a lie detector test. There are too many other factors that "regulate" taking the test. It’s based on a whole combination of body reactions. If this were the case, everyone would take meds. to "still" their nerves. Professionals give the tests, they know what they’re doing & the questions to ask. They’re based on too many reactions that just blood pressure.
Can people who are not on blood pressure medication take the prescription to pass a lie detector test?

The last time I looked, lie detector tests were still not admissible in court, so what difference does it make? Your right though, beta blockers have a calming affect.

Under stress your pulse will increase as your respiration rate increases. There is no way to separate the two. The polygraph will also monitor perspiration levels. I think it’s a lost cause. The person who mentioned the test being inadmissible in court is correct, however.

It wouldn’t matter anyway, you would still fail the heart rate and skin galvanic tests.
