A question about blood pressure medication?

i was preeclamptic during my pregnancy and had extremely high blood pressure. it was almost 4 weeks ago that i had my baby and i still have high blood pressure so my doctor put me on blood pressure medication. my question is, what if my blood pressure suddenly goes back to normal with out me knowing? will my blood pressure go super low and be potentially harmful? i don't know anything about all this.

thanks so much for your help!

back to normal is the goal, so no problems there. If it gets too low and you start feeling lightheaded or black out, then go back to your doctor. There is no such thing as a low blood pressure, hypotension is really any blood pressure that is insufficient for proper circulation. If you are 90/55 but still perfusing well and asymptomatic, it isn't a big deal. Granted, that would be plenty reason to stop treatment, but not for concern.
