My hubby's blood pressure meds really destroy his digestive track. He takes Amodium-D to help with the diarrhea, but it has it's limits. The diarrhea is a consistant side-effect of all blood pressure medications, so nothing thus far is out there that he can switch to.

I'm trying to find a natural – NON CHEMICAL – way of aiding in normalizing his digestive track.

Any suggestions please & thanks!!

It does both. Try getting more soluble fiber and less insoluble fiber.

Mine is 160/100…too high. I just found out and want to lower it quickly.

My Dad did. He lost 60lbs and started exercising every day. His blood pressure and cholesteral were lowered considerably – he stopped taking meds to control them. He's more alert now too.

When a solution contains more stuff dissolved in it than another solution and these are separated by a membrane, water will spontaneously move to the solution of higher concentration. When there are large amounts of sodium in your blood, water from elsewhere in the body will diffuse into the bloodstream to equalize the concentration. Thus, you will have a larger volume of fluid in your blood vessels which will result in higher pressure.

i am 27 years old, just a little overweight and have have a kidney removed. recently i have been getting, tired, confused, nervous, narrowed vision, a foggy feeling and feeling like i could pass out.

i have been ran through the ringer at the doctor and they can't find anything wrong with me other than my blood pressure being high. 178/108 at one point.

I've been taking high blood pressure medication for about 4 months. My blood pressure has come back down to normal on the medications, but I still hear the "thumping" of my heartbeat in my ears. Does anyone else have this problem? Hoping it's not just me… my doctor doesn't think it's a big deal, but I was just curious to see if anyone else has experienced it.

I'm on two blood pressure medications. One was not enough to bring it down and the combo has less side effects for me. Depending on what medication your on, you may feel "flushing" of the face and ears. Or you could have an ear infection so don't assume its just anxiety.

After just the first few pages I felt a reinforced need to lose weight and get in at least a half hour of walking. I hate prescriptions and their side effects. Only a quickfix. Treating the symptom (as you've stated) and not the underlying problem.In fact, the several different meds I've taken don't lower B/P. I'm on toprol 50MG XL AND DIOVAN 160mg. My guess is doctors must get some perks or incentive bonuses for writing prescriptions.

But they won't be any more bonuses from me.
